Apache Has Made Another Three Oil and Gas Discoveries in the Western Desert

In its 2008 annual report, the U.S. company Apache Corporation points out that it made another three hydrocarbon discoveries in the Western Desert last year, two of oil and one of gas. All are located in the Faghur basin, in the extreme south-west of the desert. The third of these finds is the first to have been made on the North Tarek tract, located along the Mediterranean coast.
