KHE-9 Development Well Yielded a Stabilized Flow of 3,040 B/D of Crude

Gulfsands Petroleum has completed the drilling of the KHE-9 well, the first of three development wells planned at the Khurbet East field. The British firm announced that the well, located around one kilometer south of the KHE-1 well, was taken down to a depth of 1,986 meters and penetrated the crest of the Cretaceous Massive reservoir at a depth of 1,937 meters. Preliminary results indicate that the well encountered 26 meters of gross oil pay and 23 meters of net pay.
