Melrose Resources' Oil and Gas Production in Egypt Totaled 30,665 BOE/D in the First Quarter

The Egyptian production of Melrose Resources totaled 12.07 billion cu ft (134.14 million cu ft/day) of natural gas and 748,000 barrels (8,309 b/d) of liquids in the first quarter of 2009, making a total of 30,665 boe/d. Of that total, the operator's share amounted to 14,556 boe/d (63.7 million cu ft/day of gas and 3,938 b/d of liquids). The selling prices it obtained during the period averaged $2.57/'000 cu ft for gas and $41.48/b for crude oil and condensate. Melrose plans to invest $170 million in 2009, of which 60% will be devoted to its Egyptian operations.
