US EPA consults on draft guidance for pesticide reviews under ESA

The US EPA has initiated a public consultation on its draft guidance to improve the efficiency of its analyses of the country's Endangered Species Act (ESA) for the registration of new pesticide active ingredients, as well as for ais undergoing registration review. It anticipates the finalization of the guidance fulfilling requirements set by the nation's Pesticide Registration Improvement Act of 2022 (PRIA 5), besides goals outlined in the Agency's 2022 ESA Workplan to protect listed species from exposure to pesticides.
