Bayer raises €3 bn through bond sales

Bayer has raised some €3,000 million ($3,225 million) through new senior bonds under its debt issuance program. The proceeds are to be used for general corporate purposes across Bayer's agriculture and pharmaceutical businesses. The issuance comprises three tranches and was about four times covered, the company says. Bayer intends to list the bonds on the regulated market of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange.
