Three More Discoveries Have Been Made on Ultra-Deep water Blocks 31 and 32

A few weeks after BP announced a new discovery on Block 31,Miranda,at the end of April (AOG,16 May,2007),the British company has reported another success,Cordelia,in its exploration operations in Angola's ultra-deep offshore.Cordelia is the 14~(th) discovery made by BP on Block 31,a 5,349-sq km tract it has been operating since 1999.The day before this announcement,on 21 May,the French company Total,operator of Block 32,another ultra-deepwater tract,announced two more discoveries there - Louro and Cominhos - which raise to 10 the total number of finds it has made on the tract (for the complete list,see the sidebar on the following page).
