Energy Arabia Has Finalized its Acquisition of a 51% Interest in Cegco for 320 Million

Energy Arabia (Enara), a company created by Jordan-Dubai Energy Company (JDEC), finalized its acquisition of a 51% holding in Central Electricity Generating Company (Cegco) on 20 September. JDEC is the investment arm of Jordan-Dubai Capital (JD capital), which set up Enara as a three-way joint venture with the Malaysian company Malakoff and the Athens-based Lebanese concern Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC). Enara paid 320 million for its stake in Cegco, including the assumption of Cegco's debts at the time the agreement was signed (about 200 million).
