GDM gets Brazil/Argentina OK for gene-edited soybeans as non-GMO

Argentine seed genetics company GDM (Buenos Aires) reports that two of its gene-edited soybean varieties have been approved for conventional planting in Brazil and Argentina following their classification as non-GMO in both jurisdictions. The Brazilian non-GMO approval from the technical biosafety commission, the CTNBio, was received in May while the Argentinian approval was received in November. The business notes that the development has expanded its presence in the South American gene-edited soybeans market.
