US EPA issues PIDs for eight pesticide cases

The US EPA has issued proposed interim registration review decisions for eight pesticide cases. These include four conventional pesticides, and as many biopesticides. The action aligns with a 2007 amendment to the country’s Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA), which mandates that the Agency review each registered pesticide every 15 years to determine whether they continue to meet standards of registration by not posing harm to human health or the environment.
