Canada OKs continued registration of maize gluten meal

The Canadian Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) has decided to continue registration of maize gluten meal, which is registered in the country as a herbicide for use on turf grasses, residential lawns, commercial properties, golf courses, sport fields, parks and sod farms. Maize gluten meal can be used in these settings for pre-emergent inhibition of seed germination in dandelions (Taraxacum officinale), crabgrass (Digitaria spp) and white clovers (Trifolium repens). Its registration extends to flowers, vegetables and fruit gardens.
