French agri unions protest lack of alternatives for neonics

Over 2,000 farmers rallied to the Place des Invalides in Paris on February 8th to protest restrictions on pesticide products, reports French crop protection industry association Phyteis. The protest was triggered by the end of the derogation for neonicotinoid substances in beet seed treatment without providing other effective crop protection solutions.
