KOC Awards Safwan Petroleum Technologies a us235-Million Contract for Upgrading the Sabriyah Field Facilities

Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) has awarded the local firm Safwan Petroleum Technologies Company (Spetco) a contract for upgrading the production facilities of the Sabriyah oilfield in the north of the country.The five-year contract is worth us235 million and the work will mainly involve the field's wells,calling in particular for the installation of pumps,cables and associated equipment.KOC has awarded another contract to the Saudi firm Middle East Specialized Cables Co.Ltd.(MESC) for the supply of instrumentation and control cables for gathering center No.27 (GC 27) at the Umm Gudair field.According to MESC,its contract is worth several millions of dollars.
