Bayer to invest €60 m in Ukrainian seed production site

Bayer is to invest €60 million ($65.2 million at the current rate) in its Ukrainian corn (maize) seed production facility at Pochuiky. The fund infusion is to begin this year and the proceeds are to be utilized for the construction of a seed dryer, the procuring of "state-of-the-art" agricultural field equipment, as well as developing storage facilities, and two bomb shelters for staff operating the facility.
