Brazil approves Syngenta's Elestal Neo

Brazil has approved Syngenta's insecticide, Elestal Neo (spiropidion - trade marked as Tinivion + acetamiprid). The water granule formulation is for the control of white flies on various crops including beans, cotton, fruits and vegetables, and soybeans. Syngenta says that spiropidion possesses the "exclusive characteristic of ambi-mobility", moving up and down the plant, protecting the whole plant for longer periods, and controlling all stages of white flies' development. The product is highly selective and safe for non-target organisms, such as bees.
