Kepco Wins Operations and Maintenance Contract for the Beddawi and Zahrani Power Stations

Korea Electric Power Corporation (Kepco) has been awarded an operations and maintenance (O&M) contract covering the combined cycle power stations at Beddawi (Deir Ammar),in the north of the country,and Zahrani,in the south.The contract,which is for a period of five years and is said to be worth us85.5 million,is due to be finalized shortly.Kepco was selected as the low bidder for this contract last November among the seven companies that bid,which included Ansaldo of Italy,Alstom of France,Shanahan of Ireland and the Indian company NTPC.
