Workplace challenges impact owners' mental health

Managing a workforce in today's inflationary and regulatory environment is taking its toll on New Zealand's small business employers. Xero's 'Changing World of Work' report, released at Xerocon Sydney, has revealed that a third (36 percent) of respondents say that managing employee processes is negatively impacting their mental health. The report shines a light on the workforce challenges faced by Kiwi small business owners and their employees and the critical role technology plays. Anna Curzon, Xero's chief product officer says, "Employers are telling us that it's stressful and confusing to manage employees in an ever-changing regulatory environment. That's why we are making it easier for employers to manage their employees, no matter where they are or how they work." The Xero Assistance Programme offers free counselling to Xero subscribers, their employees, and their families.
