At a meeting in Jeddah on 7 July,the board of directors of the Arab Petroleum Investments Corporation(Apicorp)approved plans for acquiring an equity stake in Yanbu National Petrochemicals Company(YanSab-see Saudi Arabia,p.12).It will increase the number of companies in which Apicorp,an affiliate of the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries(OAPEC),is a direct investor to 13.Apicorp §ays this addition to its investment portfolio represents a further-diversification of its activities.
