The Indian hot Rolled coil industry have shown remarkable growth during the last decade or so. Not only the volume of output has increased in a big way but the leading producers are rolling out materials to very stringent specifications. The world class state-of -the art Hot Strip Mills of the major producers are now capable of supplying products for high-end applications required by the end users. The Indian H R Coils manufacturers have made commendable efforts to increase the volume of exports despite the entire dumping and other measures of the US, EU and some South East Asian Countries. The domestic demand is on the rise and the prospects of increased export to China and newly located countries ore very promising. WSD has recently indicated that high prices in the global export market will continue in 2004 also. The future of the Indian H R Coils industry, in the short -term, is bright.
