Crude steel production during the first five months of this year has shown a decrease of 22.4 percent over the same period of 2008, at the level of the member countries of The World Steel Association. This decrease includes the member countries of the Arab Iron and Steel Union 《AISU》 situated in the Middle East and North Africa.
