Khorasan Steel launches its first DRI module with 800,00 tpy production capacity

Khorasan Steel Company (KSC) launched its first direct reduced iron (DRI) module with an annual production capacity of 800,000 metric tons. The launching ceremony was held last week in the presence of Ahmad AH Haratinik, chief of the Iranian Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO). According to ISNA, Haratinik stated at the ceremony that the second module will be launched in early 2010.
