Oil Is Being Pumped Once Again Through the Pipeline Linking the Omar Field to the al-Tayyem Station

Talking to the official Syrian News Agency (Sana) on 15 July, the Chairman of the Board of Al-Furat Petroleum Company (AFPC), Mr. Said Hneidi, indicated that it had resumed pumping oil through the pipeline running from the Omar field to the al-Tayyem pumping station, in the Deir ez-Zor region, following the completion of repair work to the pipeline. Mr. Hneidi explained that a 30-meter section of the 24-inch pipeline had been replaced and that the fire which had broken out during the night of 12-13 July had been brought under control within three hours.
