Standard amsul prices fell to €375-420/t ($387-434/t) fob northwest Europe, down by €25-30/t on last week, owing to weak demand and falling ofers as suppliers searched for liquidity. Prices may fall further if suppliers are pushed to look for prompt demand in southern Europe, where bid interest was reported at levels equivalent to €320-330/t fob northwest Europe this week, or into deep-sea markets, such as Brazil where buyers received ofers for European standard and granular amsul for November-December loading.
