Korean Companies Win the Contracts for the Last Three Works Packages of the Ruwais Refinery Expansion

Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Company (Takreer) has once again selected three South Korean concerns among the 14 companies that bid for the last three main EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) contracts for work connected with the expansion of the Ruwais refinery. The contracts are worth a total of $4.4 billion. Together with the two others awarded in early November to SK Engineering & Construction ($2.1 billion) and GS Engineering & Construction ($3.1 billion), the total value of the contracts awarded for the main new facilities being installed at the refinery, all of which have gone to Korean companies, comes to $9.6 billion.
