AOGM:What does North Africa represent for GE Energy today? What is the scale of your operations in the regionl Diarmaid Mulholland:The countries in this region have a very large GE Energy and GE Oil & Gas installed base and ever increasing needs for infrastructure projects.Their proximity to Europe is an advantage for us.Over the years and decades,we have built a very strong presence in North Africa for the activities of GE Energy and GE Oil & Gas.In Algeria,we have thus supplied over 70% of the gas turbines in service in the country's power plants,process plants,and pumping and compression pipeline stations.It obviously required a lot of time and effort to reach such a position.
