Sheikh Ahmed al-Abdullah al-Sabah, a former Minister of Finance, Minister of Communications and Minister of Health, was appointed Minister of Oil on 9 February. He is.the fifth person to have held this post in the past three years. In the government formed by the Prime Minister, Sheikh Nasser al-Mohammad al-Ahmad al-Sabah, on 12 January, the Foreign Affairs Minister, Sheikh Mohammad Sabah al-Salem al-Sabah, had been fulfilling-this function on an acting basis up to now.
