Disengaged retailer demand in the US, coupled with a lull in global buying interest, weighed on spot urea values at Nola. Barge prices slipped by more than 5pc on intra-week trade from $600-635/st fob Nola - edging lower day-to-day as the week progressed. November volumes traded from $597-615/ st fob Nola, also declining as the week advanced. Trade this week sustained a discount to Brazil and is expected to discourage spot imports to the US Gulf coast during a seasonally weak period in the domestic market.
