Suez Canal Transit Fees to Go Up by an Average of 7.1% with Effect from 1 April

As announced at the beginning of the year,the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) is to raise transit fees for ships and tankers using the waterway by an average of 7.1% with effect from 1 April.This increase is not expected to affect the volume of traffic passing through the canal,in view of the strong world demand for crude oil and refined products and the growing volume of maritime freight traffic in general.
