In Amelias Gas Fields Are Now 'Fully Operational'

The four gas fields in the In Amenas region that entered production in June 2006 have been "fully operational" since the middle of December,according to BP and Sonatrach.This means that the production plateau has been attained.These four fields can thus be expected to produce 9 billion cu m of natural gas and 50,000-60,000 b/d of liquids in 2007,as originally planned,even though production was stepped up to the peak rate a little more slowly than expected.
