QP and Shell Launch Pearl GTL,Awarding Contracts to Linde and Consortia Led by Toyo Engineering and Chiyoda

Pearl GTL,a joint venture set up by Qatar Petroleum(QP-51%)and Royal Dutch Shell(49%)to build a GTL plant in Ras Laffan with a capacity of 140,000 b/d through two 70,000-b/d trains,has just awarded three major contracts worth more than 4 billion to Linde AG and to two consortia led by Chiyoda Corporation and Toyo Engineering Company(TEC)respectively.
