Urea prices slump, outlook bleak

Urea, ammonium sulphate and ammonium nitrate prices fell this week in most regions as weak import demand pressured prices lower again. Mood at the IFA conference in Prague this week was bearish at all levels of the supply chain - with most expecting urea prices to fall until some production is taken offline before the market will stabilize. Some demand emerged from importers in Mexico, Brazil, Vietnam and Sri Lanka but prices in these markets generally fell from last trades.
