Urea rally stalls amid low demand

Urea prices flattened, even falling in some regions, as buyers retreated from the market. Prices at the front of the curve found support in parts of Europe, southeast Asia and the US from buyers seeking lastminute deliveries ahead of peak farm demand - $450/st fob Nola, nearly $400/t cfr in Italy and $365/t cfr in Myanmar. But forward prices seem generally weaker. June barges at Nola traded at a $150/st discount to prompt, while traders in most regions sought to sell short for June shipment at prices $10-20/t below producer offers today.
