Crude Oil Production in Sudan and South Sudan Was Running at 420,000 B/D in Mid-October

The former Sudan was divided into two in July, giving birth to two separate states, the Republic of Sudan and the Republic of South Sudan (AOG, 16 July, 2011), yet the national oil company of the Republic of Sudan, Sudanese Petroleum Corporation (SPC), continues to publish oil production figures for the two countries without making any distinction between them. According to SPC, their combined oil production was running at 420,000 barrels/day as at 18 October.
