Funding Problems Could Hamper the Implementation of Petrochemical Projects

Iran's petrochemical sector needs investments of $50 billion to achieve the objectives laid down in the country's fifth five-year development plan covering the period from 2010-11 to 2015-16, the Managing Director of National Petrochemical Company (NPC), Mr. Abdolhosain Bayat, told the official Shana news agency. According to this same agency, Mr. Bayat explained that annual investments of $6 billion were needed.
