Taqa Farms Into the Atrush Concession in Iraqi Kurdistan and Purchases BP's Interests in Three North Sea Blocks

In the space of three days, between 28 and 30 November, Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (Taqa) completed three major transactions, two in the Iraqi Kurdistan region and one in the United Kingdom. In Iraqi Kurdistan, it acquired an interest in the Atrush concession and sold the whole of its holding in the Canadian company WesternZagros Resources Ltd. (WZR), which holds two concessions there. In the UK, Taqa paid $1,058 million to acquire the interests held by BP in three blocks in the central part of the North Sea.
