Qatar Petroleum and Qapco Sign a Heads of Agreement for a Petrochemical Complex in Ras Laffan

Qatar Petroleum (QP) and Qatar Petrochemical Company (Qapco), a joint venture between QP (80%) and Total Petrochemicals (20%), have signed a heads of agreement for the development of a giant new petrochemical complex in Ras Laffan, the Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported on 13 February. The complex, which is scheduled to enter production in 2018, will be 80% owned by QP and 20% by Qapco.
