Eni Will Sell Half its Interest in the Elephant Oil Field to Gazprom

Gazprom and Eni signed an agreement in mid-September in which the two companies "reconfirm" the agreements concluded on 16 February 2011 providing for the Russian company to acquire 50% of the 33.3% interest held by Eni in the consortium that is developing the Elephant field some 800 kilometers from Tripoli.
