Contracts Worth 8.36 Billion Awarded for the al-Zour Refinery

Four South Korean companies and one Japanese company have won contracts for four of the five works packages comprising the al-Zour refinery,which is to have a capacity of 615,000 b/d.Kuwait National Petroleum Company(KNPC)explained that the selected contractors had submitted the lowest bids for each lot,denying reports that this criterion had not been applied in all cases.
