Tender to Be Issued Shortly for the Construction of the al-Shaheen Refinery

The Qatari Energy Minister,Mr.Abdallah bin Hamad al-Attiyah,has announced that a tender will be issued shortly for the construction of the al-Shaheen refinery,which will be the country's third.Mr.al-Attiyah added that technical and economic feasibility studies of the project,which calls for the development of a plant with a capacity of 250,000 b/d,had been completed and that the refinery was scheduled to come on stream in 2011.
