Oil Production Nudged 48,000 B/D in 2005

According to the Entreprise Tunisienne d'Activites Petrolieres (ETAP),Tunisian crude oil production totaled 17,479,356 barrels in 2005,equivalent to an average of 47,889 b/d.The latest monthly output figure available is for February,putting it at 1,252,687 barrels,equivalent to 44,739 b/d,which was a little lower than the average for 2005 (see table).As regards natural gas,output in February totaled 38.3 million cu m,which was also a little lower than the monthly average last year.Through 2005 as a whole,gas production totaled 500.4 million cu m.
