Dubai Drydocks to Build a New Shipyard

Dubai Drydocks Company (DDC) is planning to build a new shipyard at a cost of Dh 165 million (US45 million),having just received the government's approval for the project,according to the company's Chief Executive,Mr.Geoff Taylor.He added that DDC was in the process of prequalifying companies to bid for the contract,that a tender would be issued in February and that the evaluation of bids would be completed in May,with a view to building work starting in June.
