KPC Reduces the Differential on Kuwait Export Crude by US0.55/B Relative to the Oman/Dubai Spot Average for October

Following in the footsteps of Saudi Arabia,Kuwait Petroleum Corporation(KPC)has announced a USO.55/b reduction in the differential on Kuwait Export crude(KEC)relative to the Oman/Dubai spot average for its exports to Asia and the Far East in October.The differential will thus widen from minus US2.45/b in September to minus US3/b in October.Saudi Aramco had already announced,sharp cuts in the differentials on its medium and heavy crudes for delivery to Europe and the United States in October in order to reduce the tensions in the oil markets created by hurricane Katrina.
