Kayan Petrochemical Has Mandated Three Banks to Arrange a Second Tranche of Funding for its Complex

Kayan Petrochemical Co.has selected a consortium composed of Arab Banking Corporation (ABC),BNP Paribas and Samba Financial Group to advise it on the arrangement of a second tranche of funding to finance the construction of its petrochemical complex in Jubail.The project,which was designed and developed at the outset by Project Management & Development Company (PMD),entails the construction of an ethane/butane cracker with a capacity of 1.35 million tons/year of ethylene,units for the production of 950,000 tons/year of polyethylene,600,000 tons/year of polypropylene and 530,000 tons/year of ethylene oxide,and various other downstream facilities.
