Maersk Oil Qatar Awards Contract to J.Ray McDermott for Offshore Facilities at the Al Shaheen Field

Maersk Oil Qatar,the local subsidiary of the Danish company Maersk Oil & Gas,has awarded a contract to J.Ray McDermott S.A.for the engineering,procurement,construction and installation of two wellhead decks required as part of the expansion of the offshore Al Shaheen field.The two platform topsides will weigh 4,800 tons between them and will be designed at J.Ray's engineering office in Houston and its regional headquarters in Jebel Ali (Dubai),where the structures will be fabricated in 2007.They are due to be installed at the Al Shaheen field in 2008.
