International Oil Companies Will Have to Wait for Project Kuwait Until the End of the Year at Least

While describing Project Kuwait as a priority,the President and Chief Executive Officer of Kuwait Oil Company (KOC),Mr.Faroud al-Zanki,thinks the international oil companies (IOCs) that are prequalified for it will have to wait until the end of this year at least for the present deadlock to be broken."It's very difficult to really say when it will get the final approval from Parliament," Mr.al-Zanki told Reuters."Hopefully,it will be before the closing session of Parliament this year that we will have the final approval." And he added:"The concept and the benefit,it is very clear to everybody.We just need to ensure most of the benefit will go to Kuwait."
