UN Organizes its Defense Following the Inquiry Committee's Interim Report on the Oil-for-Food Program

Following an interim report on the oil-for-food program by the Independent Inquiry Committee,which is chaired by Mr.Paul Volcker and also includes Messrs.Richard Goldstone and Mark Pieth,the United Nations has announced the start of disciplinary procedures against Messrs.Benon Sevan and Joseph Stephanides (see sidebar).
