EIB to Advance a Loan of 50 Million Euros to Gasco to Part-Finance Two Gaslines

The European Investment Bank(EIB)is to advance a loan of 50 million euros under its Euro-Mediterranean Investment and Partnership Facility(Femip)to the Egyptian Natural Gas Company(Gasco)to part-finance the construction of two gaslines totaling 152 km in length.Located on either side of the Suez Canal,the two pipelines will form ar> integral part of the national gas transmission system,which carries natural gas from offshore and onshore gas fields to different parts of the country.
