Bluewater Energy Services to Build the Offshore Facilities of the Das Island Marine Terminal

The Dutch firm Bluewater Energy Services B.V.has won a contract for the design,supply and installation of a complete SPM (single-point mooring) loading system for the Das Island marine terminal of Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (Adma-Opco).The contract calls for the design,procurement and fabrication of a round turret catenary anchor leg mooring (CALM) buoy,including the pipeline end manifold (PLEM),an advanced telemetry system and a piled mooring system.The work is scheduled for completion in May 2005 and will enable the terminal to accommodate giant tankers of up to 360,000 dwt.The Das Island terminal consists of two main faculties,one consisting of two jetties for the export of crude oil and the other for LPG and LNG exports.
