Kuwait's Foreign Trade Surplus Widened by 30.5% to US8.42 Billion in 2003

As a result of the high level of crude oil prices in 2003,when the price of Kuwait Export averaged US26.96/b as against US23.59/b the year before,and of the increase in Kuwaiti oil production to 2.21 million b/d from 1.85 million b/d in 2002 (AOG,1 March,2004),Kuwait's oil export revenues soared by 30.6% to KD 5,579.5 million (US18.58 billion) last year from KD 4,272.8 million in 2002.
