摘要

Saudi Arabia remained the leading crude oil supplier to Japan in 2010, despite the fact that its shipments fell to 61.93 million kiloliters, 28.8% of total Japanese crude imports, last year from 63.36 million kl, 29.9% of the total, in 2009, according to the latest figures released by the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). Japan nevertheless increased its total crude oil imports by 1.6% to 215.35 million kl last year from 211.86 million kl in 2009. At the same time, it reduced its dependency on the Middle East for its crude oil supplies from 89.8% to 86.5% from one year to the next.
