Saudi Aramco Will Have Seven Mega-Projects and Two Joint Ventures Underway at the End of 2010

Saudi Aramco "recently launched a series of "mega-projects" aimed at "helping the world to cover the growth in its energy demand and assure the company's position as a leader in the supply sector in the coming years," the Saudi national oil company indicates in a special edition of its review Dimensions International. Between them, the recently completed Hawiyah, Khurais and Shaybah projects, as well as the Khursaniyah development, which is nearing completion, will increase the kingdom's hydrocarbon production capacity by 1.95 million b/d of crude oil, 1.28 billion cu ft/day of sales gas, 450 million cu ft/day of ethane and 275,000 b/d of condensate.
